HOW TO CHOOSE REDIFFMAIL PASSWORD

The password or keyword it is very important. Today, password protection, is the primary security mechanism to control access to services like your Rediffmail account. Here do you have some tips to choose a good password.

At the user level, we think it is not necessary to go very far with the password complexity, but it is important to consider some tips if you want to improve your network protection. So here you have 10 simple recommendations for setting passwords:
  • Avoid words that can be quickly traced to the password. Avoid using words like "password", the name of the site accessed by that key or repeat the username for your Rediffmail password.
  • It is not good to choose words such as "qwerty", "asdfgh" or "123456", for example, and words such as personal information that could be brought by someone who knows us.
  • Your Rediffmail password must be unique. Should be sufficiently complex to make it unlikely that someone else has chosen it. Usually a good idea to be a key composed of numbers and letters, or even add other characters or punctuation symbols.
  • Do not use the same password for all. If a password is compromised, the others will be too. Having a single password for all sites accessed on the web is not recommended. Some techniques to remember numerous passwords, keep the root and alter a section according to the site you are trying to access.
  • Do not share your password with anyone. Not even family or friends. In extreme cases, make sure someone who knows your password is a person of his confidence, as can be your partner or parent. The more people know their password, the more likely it is to compromise.
  • Do not leave your password written in the computer. The more you use different passwords, the more work we have difficulty remembering. When you need to leave in writing to remember, never leave them stored in your computer. If your computer is shared or a fault occurs and has to carry the service, your password may be compromised.
  • Never send your Rediffmail password via e-mail. In most cases, the e-mails are stored on servers in plain text, making it easy to obtain, and any other information sent by email, if you have access to those servers. And if you think that someone could come to have discovered your password, change it immediately.
  • Some programs offer the ability to remember passwords. Your browser, for example, you can store your Rediffmail password so you do not have to repeat it every time you access a website. Be careful with this feature when entering your password on a shared machine.
  • Be careful when sharing information online. Social Networking services like Internet or other resources, can take in information through indirect means requesting passwords. Take a few minutes to evaluate the safety of the site that requests such information.
  • Choose a good security question whenever possible. Some sites allow you to write a custom question. In any case, be sure the question is clever enough for someone who knew us very well might never discover. Questions like "What year was born my mother?" Or "What is the name of my pet?" Are not good ideas.
